Cabinet Caraccioli

Franco-Italian law firm in Nice handling cross-border legal matters between France and Italy, with a reviewer confirming strong command of both jurisdictions.

Italian

Cristina Caraccioli is admitted in two countries at once. She practises in Nice as an Avvocato and came from the Turin bar, so a file that straddles France and Italy stays with one lawyer instead of being split between firms on each side of the border. The work is mostly cross-border: an inheritance opened in one country over assets held in the other, or a tax problem thrown up by a stretch of employment in France. One Italian client with a French work history describes the value as more than knowing both rule books. It was having someone who could translate how the two systems think, and what each one expects of a client.

Italian is a working language here rather than an accommodation. A client who spoke no French was carried through an entire succession with the bureaucratic and administrative side handled for her. The office is on Rue du Maréchal Joffre in central Nice, open weekdays until 19:00 and closed Saturdays. One thing to settle before the file opens. The firm's most detailed complaint is about the quote, not the legal work: an initial devis (written estimate) of €1,300 was followed by a further €1,800 paid, then a revised quote of €2,500 by email covering the review of the same documents. Ask what the devis includes, what would extend it, and get that answer in writing at the start.
