HEXAGON Real Estate

HEXAGON Real Estate supports international buyers and sellers on the Côte d’Azur, helping clients find property and market homes abroad. The team works in English, German, Dutch, and French, and can continue assisting clients after completion.

HEXAGON is a small team of foreign nationals who moved here themselves before they started selling here. Juliane Cremers, who founded it and is based in Grasse, worked as an agent in Berlin. Kirsten Cunningham is American, was raised in the UK and has thirty years on this coast. Claudia Giambrone is English and handles construction projects, and Kim Schwartz-Boussard came from an agency in Los Angeles. Between them the working languages are German, English, Dutch and French, and there is a German mobile number alongside the French one, which matters while you are still calling from Germany.

Their model is the mandat de recherche, a search mandate. Rather than picking an agency because you liked one of its listings, you instruct someone to hunt on your behalf, drawing on other agencies' stock as well as their own, here including several of the larger prestige firms. It suits a buyer abroad who cannot spend six weekends touring offices, and it puts one person in charge of filtering. Ask at the outset who pays the searcher and how, because a search mandate can be billed to you or taken out of the selling agency's commission. They also arrange pool and garden upkeep after completion, which is the real problem with a house you visit twice a year.
